Special Sunday Important Message

As you know mom is very supportive of animal rescue and advocacy.  Well her best friend has been rescuing dogs for years and finally decided to become  501(c)3 non-profit. That means that your donations are tax deductible.  In her own words:

As many of you already know, I have been stopping my car by the side of the road and picking up stray dogs and cats for a really LONG time.  Actually, one of the jokes at our house is that Ricky saved his first animal in Tahoe when he was just 18 months old:) When I started working in the “hood”  in Los Angeles 5 years ago, my work grew and grew and grew….dogs, cats–actually anything that would jump in my car!  Over the past 5 years I’ve rescued about 60 animals, including a pregnant dog named Polly  (remember I blogged about it!) who, nearly 1 year ago today, gave birth to 9, yes, 9 puppies.  They spent 6 weeks with Ricky and me until their wonderful new parents took them home.

All this makes it very exciting for me to let you know that I have, with the help of many special people, now become an official 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation called
Rescued Angels, Inc.  Over the years, people have offered me money to help with the rescue, but I never accepted because I felt I had nothing to give in return.  Now, happily, I do, a tax deduction for those who can donate, and happy endings for these poor animals.

Mom would like you to visit the website and spread the word!  What we need now most of all is foster homes and money to help with  very major surgery that Jingles had!  If you live in Southern California and can foster a doggie or a kitty please let us know!

Mom has been helping drive Jingles back and forth from his foster moms to his Vet appts.  He is being fostered about an hour away.  Here is little Jingles and you can read his story here too!

Mom has been helping out with doing all the website, e-mail, flyers and also to help to find foster homes.  She has grown especially close to one of the rescue dogs named Jingles.  If you can help in any way, spread the word, foster or donate, we will really appreciate it!  So will Jingles and all the other Rescued Angels.  Oh and there is a wonderful Pit Bull named Willy who is in foster now in West Hollywood who is great!  he even went to training for a whole week  to be evaluated!

Here is a picture of me! But I don't need rescuing I have my furever home!
