A Tribute to Trouble

In case you had not heard, our favorite kitteh on the world wide web Trouble went away to the Rainbow Bridge.  Trouble was the kitteh sister to Dennis the Vizsla (who never gives up), Tucker and Trixie Doodles, and kitteh cuddler to Dennis’s dadda and momma.  She was also able to out smart a few doggies that we know of, while she attempted to take over the world.  She had the coolest 4 wheel drive tractor cat cup, that could go almost anywhere, and she did.  We enjoyed all of her adventures over the years.  She inspired me (MILK!) to enter Mango Minister and take away several prizes, she was a great mentor.

Rest well sweet Trouble, (although I don’t know if she would want to be called sweet),  we hold your memories in our kitteh hearts, and will carry on your quest to take over the world.

Your Kitteh friends,

Milk and Tweet

Not so Happy

If you have been a follower of this blog, you may remember back on Christmas Eve Daisy experienced an episode of “Happy Tail”.  We talked a bit about it here but not to jinx it healing, we didn’t want to make a big deal about it.

Almost healed in March, but Daisy managed to remove the cone or strategically reach the tip regardless!

A few weeks ago, she really got to her tail and an infection developed. We tried treating with various topical treatments including unpasteurized honey, silvadine cream, etc.  It cultured Pseudomonas and Staph. The irritaion and sores now cover almost 4 inches up from the tip.  Last week after 7 months of treating this my wonderful veterinarian decided enough.

Fancy Happy tail bandage from my Vet Tech

She is having her tail amputated this morning.  Its been such a struggle keeping bandages on, and trying to get it too heal.  I know this is the right thing to do, but I also feel like a failure that I couldn’t get it too heal. She is on some strong antibiotics for the infection, and we are hoping that it has not spread.

Will report back tomorrow night when she gets home.

Close your eyes….

Close your eyes and I’ll kiss you,
Tomorrow I’ll miss you;
Remember I’ll always be true.
And then while I’m away,
I’ll write home ev’ry day,
And I’ll send all my loving to you.
