Well just when I was going to tell you about my visit to the V-E-T, I read Dozer’s post about his visit to the V-E-T. Mom says that and Dozer and I are united in a parallel universe, or that we have weird connective Karma, and Dennis the Vizsla Dog says that we are boy girl doppelgangers. Well since I didn’t know what doppelgangers were I had to go over to my favorite resource Wikipedia!
In case you didn’t know Wikipedia is like an encyclopedia that people used to use before the age of technology and the internet, also it is called Wiki because it is written by witches. Oh dear, that sounds a bit scary. Like maybe one of Dennis daddas books.
Well here is the definition of Doppelganger from Wikipedia.
In the vernacular, “Doppelgänger” has come to refer (as in German) to any double or look-alike of a person. The word is also used to describe the sensation of having glimpsed oneself in peripheral vision, in a position where there is no chance that it could have been a reflection. They are generally regarded as harbingers of bad luck. In some traditions, a doppelgänger seen by a person’s friends or relatives portends illness or danger.
Now I wonder if Dozer is my Doppelganger and that is why we both have ouchies!
Dozer and Daisy? Or Daisy and Daisy? Or Dozer and Dozer?
Well back to the story about my ouchie, what happen was is I had a limp in my left rear leg and was trying to hide it from mom by pretending to be feeling ok for about 3 weeks. I don’t want to give up my kong! But I started to notice that mom had been cutting back on my walkies and hardly ever played kong. So I stopped limping HAH! But last Thursday before my CGC class (which I was going to surprise you with but now I have tell) I got to play a rousing game of kong, and it was fun. But my leg felt owwie again and during class I started to limp a lot.
So off to the VET! The x-rays showed a slight cruxiate ligament tear in my knee and significant hip dysplasia in the same leg, so everyone decided in order to determine if the hip or knee is causing my limp we needed to wait 3 weeks then re-evaluate. If it’s the knee, then I probably have to have surgery. But now this means no kong at all and only little walkies. This very distressing, mom is worried and so if anyone has any thoughts about this stuff if you could give her them that would be good.
If anyone can exercise my kongs for me for a few weeks that would be great.
